Grass Cutting

Article Body

Based on competitive charges, Neighbourhood Services is able to offer a grounds maintenance and soft landscaping service to schools, parish councils and businesses within the council. This can cover all aspects of landscaping including: planting, pruning, tree surgery, seeding and turfing, leveling and fencing.

This service is available to all council departments, parish councils, schools and businesses. Unfortunately we do not provide this service to individual tenants (either private or council). Please see the links to related content for further information about grounds maintenance in parks and garden maintenance for council tenants and privately owned properties.

The council aims to cut the grass it owns approximately every two or three weeks during the main cutting season (end March to end October). During May and June the frequency is increased due to the rapid growth.

Parish councils, schools and businesses can contact Neighbourhood Services and leave contact details and nature of work required. The information supplied can then be directed to the relevant officer/supervisor, who will arrange a visit the site, liaise with the customer and prepare a quotation. This will then be sent to the customer with an acceptance slip for the customer to sign and return. Once the work has been agreed our technical department would then schedule the work to be carried out.

Charges are based on estimates for work not within internal contracts.
