Article Body

The Statement of Accounts shows, in financial terms, the performance of the council for the year indicated. It is a statutory publication produced in accordance with legislative requirements and the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting in the United Kingdom. The draft accounts are placed on deposit for twenty working days so that local electors can inspect them. The versions available for download are the illustrated final versions complete with Audit Certificate.

Access is from junctions 36, 37 and 38 of the M1 with J37 just 1 mile from the Town Hall (S70 2TA).

We have frequent rail services to mainline stations at Sheffield, Wakefield and Leeds. There are also five airports within one hour of the town centre, namely Manchester, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Nottingham East Midlands and Humberside.
