Article: Take extra care on the roads
Article Body
The Met office is advising that there is a risk of snow, sleet or rain coming from the north heading south-eastwards across the country.
Barnsley Council asks that road users and pedestrians alike take extra care as the current cold temperatures will mean that if rain or sleet falls, there is a risk of it freezing instantly on our roads and footpaths.
The council will be out gritting as usual, but if this freezing occurs, wide areas of the borough will be affected beyond the normal gritting routes, meaning extra care will be needed.
