Building Works Approved Lists

Approved lists are held for certain building maintenance, repair and minor building works contracts up to the value of £50,000. For the categories please see the  Building Works Approved Lists.  To apply to be on the approved list you must register your company on the Supplier Contract Management System (SCMS system), select Barnsley Council, then select the appropriate approved list category and complete the pre qualification questionnaire (PQQ) for construction works up to £50,000, the supply chain questionnaire and Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) questionnaire.  Once completed these will be checked prior to 'approved' status being granted for each relevant category.  The SCMS system will be used to manage the approved lists and selected suppliers will receive an e-mail notifying them of the opportunity and will then be required to confirm their interest in the tender.
