Article Body

Welcome to the Barnsley Interactive Maps portals, a brand new system to display information about council and partnership services on an easy to use map and webpage.

Barnsley Interactive Maps

Barnsley Interactive Maps presents high quality maps, including Ordnance Survey, aerial imagery and historic maps from the past 2 centuries.

The system is designed to be simple to use, and works in a similar way to other internet mapping systems. In order to assist you in navigating the site, a user guide is available.

Barnsley Interactive Maps will quickly evolve to add new information and functionality, including:

  • New layers of information to be added monthly (such as planning applications, street works and tourist information)
  • Single view of council information for an individual property (such as waste collection days and councillor information)
  • Ability to report problems to the council with reference to the map location (such as broken street lights and blocked gullies).
