Latest 'open door' out now

open door 5The latest edition of the council's magazine open door is now being delivered across the borough. In its pages you'll find information about our gritting procedures, an update on the Future Jobs Fund, a day in the life of a pest control officer, a look ahead in 2010, and much more. Delivery will take place over the next two weeks, so if you haven't received a copy by Monday, 8 February, email us at communications@barnsley.gov.uk and let us know. You can also send your comments on the magazine or suggestions for features to the same address.

Town hall won't close 'in June'

We are receiving numerous calls from people who say they have heard in the local media that the town hall is closing in June. This is incorrect: sometime in September is the proposed date. For full information about the closure of the town hall, see here.
