Think Local is a brand name that covers research and consultation carried out locally mainly by the Area Forum.

The major research is carried out once a year in the July/August period. In recent years a questionnaire has been circulated to 5% of all households and resulted in well over 3,000 replies.

Think Local consultation results are available to both Council services and other organisations. It is hoped that all services will use the results when they plan future services and activities.

Area Forums already use Think Local results in setting their Local Area Plans. As views are provided over the nine districts, it is possible to get localised perceptions.
