Operators of public weighing equipment must hold a certificate of competence from a Chief Trading Standards Officer. Applicants will be expected to show that they can operate the weighbridge safely and correctly and complete all necessary paperwork satisfactorily.
This service is available to anyone who will operate a public use weighing machine within the Barnsley area
Trading Standards should be contacted to discuss the procedure and to book a test.

A The test can be re-taken after training/coaching, usually at the same appointment
