Cricket Hire

Summary

 

There are a number of cricket wickets located within the authority, these are available for hire on a casual or seasonal basis, some of the recreation grounds have changing room facilities.

 

Eligibility

 

Anyone over 18 years of age can make a booking.

 

Procedure

 

When Requesting to hire a cricket wicket please state you preferred location, there is no guarantee that this cricket wicket will be available, an alternative location will be offered to you. If you wish to hire a cricket wicket an application form will posted out to you, this must be completed and returned. A temporary booking at the time of the enquiry can be made, pending the return of the application form by the day stated. Bookings are confirmed within 10 working days of the application forms being returned

Renewal

Renewal notices are sent out to the current teams in January prior to the commencement of the new season.
Application forms must be returned by the 28th February.
The renewal is confirmed within 10 working days of the forms being returned.
A Sundry Account is then raised and forwarded to the hirer.

You can obtain an application form and any further information between 8.30am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday, (with the exception of Bank Holidays) by contacting the Neighbourhood Services on 01226 774353

Customer can help by:

• Reading and understanding the rules and conditions governing the Hiring of sport pitches and pavilions
• Once you have completed your application form, please return it to Neighbourhood Services, Springfield House, Springfield Street, Barnsley, S70 6HH.

Once your application has been submitted, along with all necessary details, your booking will be made and confirmed within 10 working days.
An invoice will then be forwarded to you for payment.

A booking form must be completed for each and every team that will play on the wicket, which is associated with the club or organisation hiring the facility.
