Marriage - Registering a Building for Worship

Under the provision of the Places of Worship Registration Act 1855 a congregation may apply for a building to be registered as a certified place of worship. Should a building which has been registered for worship wish to become a place where a marriage can take place then again an application can be made.
Contact the Register Office for details. The opening hours are 9.00 to 4.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The fee for registering a building for worship is £28.00.
The fee for registering a place of worship for marraiges is £120.00.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit and debit cards.
