Summary

Provide information on the results of all elections.

Eligibility

All members of the public and in particular anyone who is interested in the results of local elections for Councillors.

Procedure

Election results are available to all concerned by a call in person to Electoral Services, by telephone or by accessing the Council's website. Results will also be published in the local press, Barnsley Chronicle, Barnsley Star and the Yorkshire Post and on local radio.

Charges/Fees

There is no charge for the results service except for possible charge by the Internet Service if appropriate.

Opening Times/Locations

8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Friday if the enquiry is by phone or in person.

Legislation

The service would be provided on behalf of the Council by its "in house" Electoral Services of the Borough Secretary's Department.
