Biographical Information

Councillor Gardiner represents the Dearne North Ward.  He was elected in May 2007 and his term of office expires in 2011.  He is a member of the Labour Group.

Councillor Gardiner has served on the Council since 1988.

 

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough. 

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Council Membership (Including Outside Bodies)

Councillor Gardiner is the Cabinet Spokesperson for Finance and Property Services.

 Councillor Gardiner also sits on the following outside bodies:  Barnsley Miller Partnership Limited, Barnsley Schools Private Finance Initiative Project Board, Building Schools for the Future Programme Board, Oakwell Community Assets Joint Venture Company, SIGOMA and YPO Management Committee.

Councillor Gardiner is a Governor at Gooseacre Primary School.
