Councillor David Wainwright

Biographical Information

Councillor David Wainwright represents the Darfield Ward.  He was elected in May 2007, and his term of office expires in 2011.  He is a member of the Barnsley Independent Group.

Councillor Wainwright has served on the Council since 2004.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Councillor Wainwright sits on the following:  Children’s Services Scrutiny Commission, General Licensing Regulatory Board and Appeals and Awards Regulatory Board.

Councillor Wainwright represents the Council on the South Yorkshire Police Authority.  He also sits on the Darfield Old Persons’ Management Organisation, Maurice Dobson Charity and Old Moor Wetlands Board Outside Bodies.

Councillor Wainwright is a Governor at Darfield Upperwood Primary School.
