Councillor Ken Sanderson

Biographical Information

Councillor Ken Sanderson represents the Dearne South Ward.  He was elected in May 2007 and his term of office expires in 2011.  He is a member of the Labour Group

Councillor Sanderson has served on the Council since 2002. 

Councillor Sanderson is currently the Mayor of Barnsley.

 The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Councillor Sanderson sits on the Regeneration Scrutiny Commission, Environment Scrutiny Commission, General Licensing and Statutory Licensing Regulatory Boards.

Councillor Sanderson sits on the following outside Bodies:  Adwick on Dearne Colliery Waste Tip Liaison Committee, Barnsley Dial a Ride, Old Moor Wetlands Board, Peak Park Transport Forum, Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport Consultative Committee, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority, South Yorkshire Planning and Transportation Steering Group and Wath Manvers Plant Site Tip Liaison Committee.
