Councillor Linda Burgess

Biographical Information

Councillor Linda Burgess represents the Darton West Ward.  She was elected in May 2007 her term of office will expire in 2011.  She is a member of the Labour Group.

Councillor Burgess has served on the Council since 2004.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Councillor Burgess is the Cabinet Spokesperson for Children, Young People and Families Services.

Councillor Burgess also sits on the following outside bodies:  Barbers Relief in Need Charity and Barbers School Charity, Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre Committee, Barnsley Children, Young People and Families Partnership, Barnsley College University Centre Partnership Board, Barnsley Hospice Board, Barnsley Schools PFI Project Board, Building Schools for the Future Programme Board, Education Partnership Board, National Network for Lead Members of Children’s Services, Shawlands Trust and Leeds City Region Skills and Labour Market Advisory Panel.
