Biographical Information

Councillor Margaret Sheard represents the Monk Bretton Ward.  She was elected in May 2007 and her term of office expires in 2011.  She is a member of the Labour Group.

Councillor Sheard has served on the Council since 1999.

 

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Council Membership (Including Outside Bodies)

Councillor Sheard is the Vice Chair of the Health and Adult Services Scrutiny Commission, she also sits on the following:  Housing and Community Safety Scrutiny Commission, Children’s Services Scrutiny Commission and Cross Cutting Scrutiny Commission.

Councillor Sheard sits on the Priory Campus Board of Trustees Outside Body and is also a Governor at Priory School and Sports College Governing Body.
