Councillor May Noble

Biographical Information

Councillor May Noble represents the Dearne South Ward.  She was elected in May 2006 and her term of office expires in 2010.  She is a member of the Labour Group.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Councillor Noble is the Cabinet Support Member for Development and Customer and Neighbourhood Services.
Councillor Noble also sits on the following:  Children’s Services Scrutiny Commission; Children’s Rota Visits Panel, Planning Regulatory Board, & Statutory Licensing Boards.

Councillor Noble also sits on the following Outside Bodies: Adwick on Dearne Colliery Waste Tip Liaison Committee, Association of Public Services Excellence, Barnsley Safety Group, Barnsley Wheels 2 Work Steering Group, Dearne and Dove Drainage Board, National Association of British Market Authorities, South Yorkshire Wheels 2 Work Steering Group, Schools Forum, Yorkshire Libraries and Information Committee & Wath Manvers Plant Site Tip Liaison Committee.

Councillor Noble is a Governor at Dearne Goldthorpe Primary School.
