Councillor Roy Miller

Biographical Information

Councillor Roy Miller represents the Darton East Ward.  He was elected in May 2007 and his term of office expires in 2011.  He is a member of the Labour Group

Councillor Miller has served on the Council since 1988.  He is the Cabinet Member for Customer and Neighbourhood Services.
 
Councillor Miller was the Mayor of Barnsley in 2004/2005.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Councillor Miller sits on the following Outside Bodies: Association of Civic Hosts, Barbers Relief in Need Charity & Barbers School Charity, Barnsley Safer Communities Partnership (One Barnsley Delivery Partnership), Environment Protection UK, George Beaumont Foundation, South Yorkshire Sports Partnership; South Yorkshire Trading Standards Joint Committee; Transform South Yorkshire Board  & the Yorkshire & Humberside Regional Home & Water Safety Council. 

 Councillor Miller is a Governor at Mapplewell Primary School.
