Councillor Phillip Birkinshaw

Biographical Information

Councillor Phillip Birkinshaw represents the Dodworth Ward.  He was elected in May 2008, and his term of office expires in 2012.  He is a member of the Barnsley Independent Group.

Councillor Birkinshaw has served on the Council since 2002.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Councillor Birkinshaw sits on the Regeneration Scrutiny Commission, Cross Cutting Scrutiny Commission and General Licensing Regulatory Board.

Councillor Birkinshaw also sits on the Dodworth Miners Welfare Scheme and Stainborough Park Management Liaison Committee.
