Councillor Sharron Brook

Biographical Information

Councillor Sharron Brook represents the Dearne South Ward.  She was elected in May 2008 and her term of office expires in 2012.  She is a member of the Liberal Democrat Group.

Councillor Brook has served on the Council since 2003.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries. details of which are updated on a weekly basis.

Council Membership (Including Outside Bodies)

Councillor Brook is the Chair of Children’s Services Scrutiny Commission and she also sits on the following: Cross Cutting Scrutiny Commission, Children’s Services Rota Visits Panel, General Licensing Regulatory Board and Audit Committee.
 
Councillor Brook also sits on the following outside bodies:  Adwick on Dearne Colliery Waste Tip Liaison Committee, Barnsley Schools PFI Project Board, Building Schools for the Future Programme Board and Wath Manvers Plant Site Tip Liaison Committee.

Councillor Brook is a Governor at Healther Garth Primary School, Lacewood Primary School and the Dearne High School.
