Elsecar’s Christmas Fair and Reflections weekend

ELSECAR’S annual indoor Christmas Fair will be taking place this weekend – Saturday, 12 and Sunday, 13 December.

The event has over forty craft and gift stalls featuring a variety of hand-made products including jewellery, cards, jams and preserves, Christmas decorations and glass and ceramic ware -  a one-stop shop for all your Christmas requirements. 

There will also be a full programme of festive entertainment for visitors, with performances on Saturday from the Thorpe Hesley Village Choir and the Waldershelf Choral Society.

Sunday features the Barnsley Amateurs Musical Theatre Group and ends with performances from the Worsbrough Brass Band. The Dearne Youth Theatre Group will also be performing on both days with a special festive production.

The Christmas Fair is open from 10am to 5pm on both days. Admission is £1 for adults, children and concessions 50p.

To celebrate Barnsley’ s 'Reflections' theme for Christmas there will also be additional free activities around the Elsecar Heritage Centre, such as glass blowing demonstrations, crazy mirrors, a death defying glass ball juggler, and visitors should also keep an eye out for the appearance of the miserly Scrooge!

The Centre will also feature children's rides, outside stalls and the varied selection of onsite businesses, from the large scale antiques centre to the indoor kids activity zone, Playmania.
