Early years courses available
PEOPLE interested in working with early years children can take advantage of a free five-week introductory course which starts at the Core, County Way, Barnsley on Wednesday, 13 January, from 9.30am to 11.30am.
Introduction for teaching assistants also begins on Monday, 11 January, 1pm to 3pm at The Eldon Centre, Eldon Street, for 10 weeks. The course costs £55 unless applicants are eligible for fee remission. It is accredited by Open College Network by students preparing a portfolio of work.
Both courses provide a start for learners who are interested in working with children either in a nursery or school. They are very fun and friendly and suitable for anyone wanting to try it out.
