THE Barnsley Big Dance event, Red, takes pace at Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens this Saturday (12 July).
Choreographer Gerry Turvey will bring together dancers from Cross the Sky Theatre Company, Qdos Youth Dance and Forge Arts for Health to make a unique dance performance at 12 noon and 2pm.
Gerry makes dance work in unusual spaces. Using image and form she creates curious images in familiar places.
Red will use the space and inspiration from the gardens to create dance that will inspire and delight. Passers by will not only be intrigued and delighted but may even want to join in.
The performance is part of Big Dance, a national celebration of dance which takes place between Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 13 July.
