THREE work colleagues from Barnsley Council’s Smithies Lane depot are cycling over 200 miles coast to coast to raise money for Barnsley Hospice.
Matt Kay, Phillip McGrath and Steve Hey, who work for Highways and Engineering, will cycle 215 miles along the Trans Pennine Trail from Southport to Hornsea over three days – Monday, 14 to Wednesday, 16 July.
Matt said: “As cycling enthusiasts we have wanted to do the coast to coast trip for a while. We feel Barnsley Hospice is a very worthy cause and being local Barnsley lads, we wanted to support a local charity.”
They want to raise as much money as possible and hope that family, friend and work colleagues will donate generously.
To make a donation please contact Matt on 774121 or email: matthewkay@barnsley.gov.uk
