THE next meeting of the Monk Bretton, Royston and St Helen’s Area Forum will be held at Athersley North Primary School, Lindhurst Road, Barnsley, at 6.30pm on Thursday, 5 June.
This meeting will be the first opportunity for local people to hear about Barnsley’s first GP-led walk-in health centre and three new GP practices. Local people will have a chance to help shape healthcare for Barnsley, for their local area, for themselves and their family.
The vision for the future of GP and community services in Barnsley is for world class healthcare, improved access, longer opening hours, new services in the community and more GPs.
Officers from Highways and Engineering will unveil this year’s highways and footpath maintenance programme.
Area Forum meetings offer an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions of Councillors, community representatives and council officers about issues of local concern.
This Area Forum covers the following neighbourhoods: Athersley, New Lodge, Royston, Carlton, Monk Bretton, Lundwood, Burton Grange, Cundy Cross and part of Smithies.
