Fair trading on agenda at motor seminar

MEMBERS of the South Yorkshire motor trade partnership, managed by Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham Trading Standards services, will attend the group’s fifth annual seminar on Friday, 6 June at Tankersley Manor near Barnsley.

The South Yorkshire motor trade partnership scheme has the support of 85 local retailers across the county and has obtained national recognition for its fair trading charter. Through the scheme businesses have demonstrated a real commitment to open and honest customer service at every stage of the car-buying process.

The seminar will provide the opportunity for lively discussion between scheme members and trading standards representatives.

There will be guest speakers from the Office of Fair Trading and an announcement of the scheme’s retailers of the year awards, which will be presented by the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham Cllr Ann Russell and Cllr Patricia Russell.
