Lots to enjoy in Barnsley during Museums and Galleries Month
BARNSLEY Museum Service has organised a whole series of events to celebrate Museums and Galleries Month during May around the theme of Ideas and Innovations.
The events are taking place throughout the month at Cannon Hall, the Cooper Gallery, Worsbrough Mill and Elsecar Heritage Centre and are aimed at adults and children alike.
Included in the programme are free tours of the Newcomen Beam Engine at Elsecar Heritage Centre, a Family Bridge Building Challenge at the Cooper Gallery in Church Street, sweet making in the Victorian kitchen at Cannon Hall and free milling demonstrations at Worsbrough Mill.
