Barnsley event puts carers at the heart of the community
CARERS’ Rights Day will take place at Barnsley Town Hall on Friday, 4 December, from 10.45am to 3pm.
Carers work unpaid to look after friends, relatives or neighbours who need support due to an illness, particular need, or condition.
Carers attending the event will be able to get information about carers’ issues and meet other carers. Beauty therapies and alternative therapies will be available during the event as well as Christmas card making sessions.
People can also register for the free carers’ emergency respite service on the day and receive a £5 Marks and Spencer’s voucher.
