THURNSCOE-based author Ricki Thomas will be holding a book signing day at Thurnscoe Library, Shepherd Lane, on Monday, 23 November from 10am to 3pm.
Ricki’s novel “Hope’s Vengeance” is a psychological thriller which addresses issues such as child abuse and bullying.
Charities and organisations such as Mind, Victim Support, anti-bullying charities and many others will be represented at the event and will provide information about their services.
The day will be opened by the Mayor of Barnsley, Cllr John Parkinson, whose mayoral charity is the NSPCC.
Cllr Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson for Customer and Neighbourhood Services said “This event will provide an excellent opportunity not only to highlight the invaluable work done by the organisations represented, but also help to promote the work of a Barnsley-based author. Barnsley Libraries are delighted to be hosting this signing day.”
