Barnsley Sport Awards 2008

Once again we want to recognise the fantastic achievements of sportsmen and women throughout Barnsley and to say a huge thank you to coaches, clubs and volunteers who are so essential to all sporting activity.

This year’s awards will take place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December at the Metrodome, Barnsley.

There are 14 award categories that give the opportunity to recognise the high level of sporting achievement in the borough and to celebrate the value of sport and activity in peoples lives.

We invite you to nominate a sports person, team, club, coach or volunteer, who has achieved in sport in 2008. There is also a category for those who have inspired, encouraged or supported people to increase the amount of exercise they do.
