Councillor Stephen Houghton

Biographical Information

Councillor Stephen Houghton represents the Cudworth Ward.  He was elected in May 2008 and his term of office expires in 2012.  He is the Leader of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, the Leader of the Labour Group and Chair of Cabinet.

Councillor Houghton has served on the Council since 1988.

The Ward Map displays the boundaries of all the electoral districts in the Barnsley borough.

The majority of Members hold regular informal ward meetings known as surgeries, details of which are updated on a weekly basis.
