SALE OF LAND TO THE REAR OF MARKET STREET, PENISTONE, BARNSLEY SOUTH YORKSHIRE

NOTICE is hereby given that Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) intend to sell at the best market price grassland containing an area of 0.69 hectares/0.69 acres or thereabouts being bounded to the west by Penistone Market Car Park to the south by Penistone Bowling Club and to the north by Fearn‘s Buildings/Stottercliffe Road at Penistone Barnsley South Yorkshire (being part of a larger area of land in the ownership of the Council and held under the provisions of the Open Spaces Act 1906) and a copy of the plan showing the land to be sold may be seen during normal office hours at Barnsley Connects Civic Hall Service Centre Eldon Street Barnsley.  
                                                                                                                    
Any objection to the proposed sale must be made in writing to The Borough Secretary Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council Town Hall Barnsley S70 2TA before Tuesday the Twenty sixth day of  February Two thousand and eight (26.2.2008) and should state the grounds of the objection
