BARNSLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS. 205, 216 AND NON-DEFINITIVE FOOTPATH DEARNE VALLEY PARK,
TEMPORARY CLOSURE   

NOTICE is hereby given that the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order which will close:-

(i) Public Footpath No. 205 Barnsley from Public Footpath No. 217 crossing the dam bank between 2 ponds
(ii) Public Footpath No. 216 Barnsley from Public Footpath No. 205 from the dam bank to Newlyn Drive
(iii) Non-Definitive Public Footpath Dearne Valley Park from the aqueduct bridge steps

Reason:  dam head bank repairs

The proposed Order will become operative on 14th July 2008 for approximately 6 weeks.

NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure is via public footpath nos. 191, 217, 190 and 215
