THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BARNSLEY
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS NO. 9 AND 10)
(HOYLAND) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 1999


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 1st July 2008 the Borough Council confirmed the above-named Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpaths running from Ryecroft Bank, Hoyland, south westerly for 265 metres onto a line running along the western footway of Ryecroft Bank then westerly then northerly for 416 metres and running from Hawshaw Lane northerly for 315 metres onto a line from a point 120 metres west of Hawshaw Lane, northerly for 225 metres, as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Barnsley Connects Service Centre, Civic Hall, Eldon Street, Barnsley and Hoyland Town Hall, High Street, Hoyland, Barnsley during normal business hours, Mondays to Fridays.  Copies may be purchased for a small charge.

The Order comes into force on the 15th July 2008, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended), or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act within six weeks from the date of publication of this notice make an application to the High Court.
