NOTICE is hereby given that Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) intend to sell at the best market price  1,760 square metres of land situate at Laithes Lane Athersley Barnsley                                      South Yorkshire being part of a larger area of land in the ownership of the Council and held under the provisions of the Open Spaces Act 1906 and a copy of the plan showing the land to be sold may be seen during normal office hours at the Barnsley Connects Service Centre, Civic Hall, Eldon Street, Barnsley.                                                                                                                       

Any objection to the proposed sale must be made in writing to The Borough Secretary Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council Town Hall Barnsley S70 2TA before the Eighth day of August Two thousand and eight and should state the grounds of the objection
