(BARNSLEY) (TRAFFIC REGULATION CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2007
(AMENDMENT NO 8) ORDER 2008

Notice is hereby given that on the 22nd day of September 2008 the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council made an Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order which will come into operation on the 6th day of October 2008 will be to:-

(i)  extend the existing waiting restrictions on the northern side of Gawber Road from Greenfoot Lane in a south easterly direction for 280 metres;

(ii)  prohibit vehicles waiting at any time at the junctions of Queens Avenue and Prince Arthur Street with Gawber Road; and on the south eastern side of Victoria Crescent West from Sackville Street for 70 metres.

Waiting will be permitted for loading and unloading goods, other specified operations and by disabled persons vehicles.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from the 26th day of September 2008 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
