Local Development Framework

In accordance with the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, the Council is required to prepare a Local Development Framework (LDF). The LDF will eventually replace the Unitary Development Plan as the development plan for the Borough and will consist of a portfolio of different planning documents.

The timetable for the production of the LDF is set out in the Council's Local Development Scheme (LDS).

You can comment on current LDF consultation documents on-line. Engage, the on-line consultation software by Limehouse Software, enables you to make on-line comments (also known as representations) on specific points within a document, see that your comments have been received, share them with other consultees, and track the outcome of these comments.

To make a representation on-line, you will firstly have to register your details. Limehouse Software provide an on-line reference guide if you have trouble doing this.

As are the Council's Statement of Community Involvement, the first document to be produced under the new system, which sets out the Council's approach to involving people in the production of the LDF and in planning applications and the Annual Monitoring Report which sets out the Council's preformance against a number of development targets.
