In October and November, 2005, the Council consulted on the first draft of the Education Sites Development Plan Document, known as the Issues and Options stage.
The focus of the 'Issues and Options' consultation was on the pattern of secondary school provision and deciding where rebuilt schools should go. The Education Sites Development Plan document set out site options for the reorganisation of secondary schools.

Following the Issues and Options consultation, we have now prepared the Preferred Options Development Plan Document for you to comment on. In addition, there are also background papers and a sustainability appraisal.

If you wish to comment on any aspect of the documents, you can download a comments sheet and e-mail it or post it back to us.
We have extended the consultation period to Friday 15th December 2006. All comments should be returned to Planning Policy by 4.30pm on Friday the 15th December, 2006. Late comments will not be considered.

We will also be holding a number of drop-in workshops for people to attend where you can view the documents, make comments and speak to Planning Officers and Education Officers. Planning Aid will also be attending the workshops. Planning Aid provide free, independent and professional planning advice to individuals and groups who cannot afford professional fees.
