Independent Examination of the Barnsley Education Sites Development Plan Document

An examination will be held to enable an independent Planning Inspector to test the Soundness of the DPD.

The Secretary of State has appointed Graham Garnham, BA, BPhil, MRTPI as the Inspector for this examination. His role is to consider all the evidence and then present a binding report to the Council.

The examination of this document is being dealt with solely through Written Representations and as such a Pre-Examination Meeting and Hearing sessions will not be necessary.

Minor Proposed Changes to the Educations Sites DPD

The Education Sites Development Plan document which forms part of Barnsley’s Local Development Framework has been submitted to the Secretary of State and a Planning Inspector is examining the document via written representations. As part of this process the Council is proposing a number of minor changes to the Submission version of the Education Sites Development Plan Document. These changes have been formally advertised and are subject to a further period of public consultation for 6 weeks from 21st July to 1st September 2008.
