Summary

The Asset Management Section manages the land and property portfolio of the Council providing an estates management service including:

• Sales
• Lettings
• Acquisitions
• Property Management
• Asset Valuations
• Insurance Valuations
• Professional Property Advice

The Asset Management Section will advise which department of the Council is responsible for managing a specific operational property or piece of land and will supply relevant contact details depending on the nature of your enquiry.

Eligibility

This service is available to all businesses and residents with an interest in land and properties managed by the Council.

We may ask you to submit a sketch plan with dimensions to help identify it.

Q.. Who is responsible for the repair of the wall or fence to my garden.

A.. This should be indicated by inverted ''T'' marks on the plan of your registered title. In certain cases, depending on the complexity of land ownership in the area, reference to the Council''s deeds may be required.

The Asset Management Section cannot assist with enquiries about property which has not previously been owned by the Council unless it is immediately adjacent to Council property.
