Welcome to education and skills, where you'll find information about learning in Barnsley. We work, in partnership with schools and many others, to support learners of all ages. Our aim is to make sure that all learners in Barnsley have access to the highest quality teaching and learning and every opportunity to maximise their potential.

This plan sets out the framework within which Education Services, Children's Social Care Services and other partners work together.
In April 2007, Education and Children's Social Care Services were merged to form a new Directorate for Children, Young People and Families, led by Edna Sutton.
