This contains books by local authors not held elsewhere in the department and is arranged in author order.
The Yorkshire Collection
The department holds a large number of books and pamphlets about the County of Yorkshire and the various towns, villages and other areas apart from those held in the Barnsley Collection. In recent years the collection has tended to concentrate mainly on West and particularly South Yorkshire. Like the Barnsley Collection the items are arranged in class number order, prefixed by the letter Y and cover a wide range of subjects e.g. history, geology, transport.
