Customer notice

Dodworth Library will be closed on Saturday 29th November 2008 to enable a new carpet to be laid. It will reopen on Monday 1st December 2008.

During the closure period:

• Books may be borrowed from and returned to and other service point
• No fines will be charged on items due back during this time
• Study Support members may attend sessions at any other library
• The nearest PC and Internet access is at Penistone or at Barnsley Central Library
• For enquiries and renewals please ring Penistone Library on 01226 762313

Further Information

Dodworth branch library has disabled access, a bus stop outside and is near to the railway station. There is also on street parking available outside the library.

The Library hosts several classes and groups - 
Readers' Groups meet on the first Monday in the month at 10.30am, the first Friday in the month at 7.00pm and on Wednesday every 4 weeks at 2.00pm. 
Story Times for under 5's take place the first Monday in the month at 2.00pm and also on one Thursday during the month at 10.00am. 
A Young Reader's Group for aged 5 and above meets on the first Monday in the month at 3.45pm
Several Classes are held at Dodworth Library including IT, Language and Family History.  Free Taster Sessions on Safe Surfing and E-Mail also take place at several times during the year..
