Children and Young Peoples Plan Performance Monitoring

The Children and Young People's Plan was published in April 2006.  It's the first comprehensive plan to be developed collaboratively between services for children and young people. 

This is our Performance Review of the plan, which we had to submit to the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) in June 2007.  It demonstrates the considerable progress made by children, young people, parents and carers, the council, its partners and the many people who have contributed to the delivery of the Plan during year one - April 2006 to March 2007.

It also includes details of the progress made against the recommendations in the Joint Area Review (JAR) report on Children and Young Peoples Services in Barnsley, which was published by Ofsted on 12 December 2006. (JARs are independent inspections of Childrens Services conducted under Section 20 of the Children Act 2004 and take place every three years.)
