Barnsley Education Services and schools in Barnsley produce various plans. Some of these, legislation requires us to produce; some plans follow inspections; and we also produce other plans that you may be interested in. All of our plans are designed to help us provide better services.
Following the Children Act 2004, Barnsley Council is reorganising its education and social care services for children and young people into a single service. As part of this process, Barnsley Council and its partners have prepared and published their Children and Young People's Plan, our strategic, overarching plan for all local services to children and young people. This plan, together with Barnsley Education Services plans, is available on this website (see links below).
Schools are expected to have a School Development Plan or Improvement Plan. These plans set out how the school is planning its future. They also publish individual school prospectuses. To find out about individual school plans, use the link below for school contact details.Sections
