DO you want to be in a quiz team, or know a few people who feel the same way? If so, you may be interested in entering a team for the RaW Quiz Night at Barnsley Central Library, Shambles Street, on Wednesday, 24 May, from 6pm to 8pm.
The BBC's RaW campaign is a three-year project aimed at encouraging reading, especially among those who want to develop their skills and experience just that bit further.
It's the first campaign of its kind to have entertainment at its core, with involvement from TV, radio and the internet. Links to favourite TV and radio dramas are available from the RaW website.
Barnsley Libraries are involved in a number of ways - they are offering free RaW magazines which include details of how you can develop your reading and writing skills, plus quizzes and celebrity gossip. There is also a series of Quick Read books by popular authors.
A Library Services spokesperson said: "The RaW Quiz will play its own part in raising awareness of libraries, books and reading, as well as being fun and challenging. There are prizes too!"
If you are interested in taking part, please contact Wendy Mann on (01226) 773924. For more information about the BBC's RaW campaign to boost reading and writing skills visit www.bbc.co.uk/raw
