YOUNG people in Penistone will have plenty to occupy them over the summer holiday as the Youth Centre at High Street launches its garden project, running from this week until Thursday, 17 August.
Young people are invited to drop in to take part in a range of environmental activities, including gardening, the creation of a mosaic and pond digging. The garden project is located in front of the Youth Centre.
Sessions will run between 10am and noon, and 1.30pm and 3.30pm on the following dates: Monday, 24, Tuesday, 25, Wednesday, 26 July, and Tuesday, 1, 8, Wednesday, 9, Thursday, 10, Tuesday, 15 and Thursday, 17 August.
All Garden Project activities are free.
Tee-shirt designing, sports, dj-ing and many other activities aimed at 11- to 19-year-olds feature in the Penistone Youth Festival on Wednesday, 16 August, 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Entry is free.
