New language taster courses for June
THE Adult Learning service of Barnsley Council is offering a number of free language taster courses, starting in the week beginning Monday, 5 June. All the courses last four weeks and will help you get more out of your overseas holidays.
French:
Tuesdays, 7pm to 9pm, Eldon Centre, Eldon Street North, Barnsley,
Fridays, 9.30am to 11.30am, Jump Children and Adult Learning Centre, Church Street, Jump, Barnsley.
German:
Fridays, 1pm to 3pm at Priory Campus, Pontefract Road, Lundwood, Barnsley.
Spanish:
Wednesdays, 9.30am to 11.30am in the Net Navigator bus at the Monkey Inn, Thurgoland,
Thursdays, 10am to 12noon at Priory Campus,
Fridays, 1pm to 3pm at Barnsley Central Library, Shambles Street.
The classes will cover topics such as greetings, numbers and currency, asking for directions, and ordering food and drink.
