Preparing to do Business with Barnsley Schools

In an effort to keep procurement costs to a minimum we have launched a 'Preparing to do Business' Service. The contract process can be spread over a number of months and, to prevent repetition and to save time for the contractor, we have introduced forms that can be downloaded and returned to the Education Procurement Section. They will validate your submission and, if successful, you will be listed on the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) Website and the Education Website as a Qualified Contractor to Trade (QCT) with Education Services and Barnsley Schools.

Being on the Qualified Contractor to Trade (QCT) List will mean that you are able to carry out small value jobs without further approvals. As tenders arise you will be able to apply for them without re-submitting the qualifying documentation, saving both time and money.
