CPD in relation to a teacher is any activity undertaken for the purposes of updating knowledge of the subject taught or developing teaching skills. It is more than just courses or workshops, it’s the critical reflection on different experiences and resulting action planning that demonstrates development as a teacher.
Our aim in Barnsley is to continually improve and develop our workforce so that they maximise positive impact they have on children and young people’s aspirations and life chances. We believe every member of the workforce has the right and responsibility to continually improve and develop.
Through working together and sharing good practice we can only strengthen our networking and drive to improve standards in teaching and learning across the Borough.
